Voices for Florida recently partnered with the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking to host virtual panel discussions titled Science & Society: The Impact of Trauma on Human Trafficking Survivors. These webinars brought trauma experts Vicky Basra of the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center and Dr. Philip Toal of Aspire Health Partners, and survivor leaders Idalia Rivera of More Too Life and Savannah Parvu, together to share their experiences and insight into how communities can better advocate for trafficking survivors.

Perspectives: The Impact of Sex Trafficking on Black Women & Girls
In recognition of Black History Month, Voices for Florida hosted a virtual discussion diving deep into how sex trafficking uniquely and disproportionately affects Black women and girls. This webinar was moderated by Yolanda Porciau, CEO of Yolanda Speaks, and featured speakers Survivor-Mentor Chanel Dionne and Regional Advocate Marie Norman, who serve victims of sex trafficking through the Open Doors Outreach Network at the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center.
