Cecka Rose Green
Cecka Rose Green has established a notable career in the public and private sectors, on a local, statewide and national level. Currently, Cecka is Communications Director for the Florida Housing Finance Corporation—the State of Florida’s housing finance agency—where she oversees media and public relations efforts, communications strategies, and business continuity activities.
In 2004, she founded MarChae Enterprises, LLC, where she served as president. The company offered consultation services in the areas of executive management, media and public relations, conference and event planning, and strategic communications training. Prior to that, Cecka served as Director of Communications for Voices for Florida’s Children and as Vice-President/Director of Communications for P&P Communications, Inc., a Tallahassee-based public affairs group specializing in public and community relations, communications, political strategies and event management. She also was Deputy Communications Director for the Florida Department of Children and Families statewide headquarters, where she co-directed the department’s communications, public relations and crisis management efforts.
Among other honors, Cecka received the Distinguish Alumni Award from the FAMU NAA; is a member of the FAMU SJGC’s Hall of Fame; received the Carrie P. Meek Servant-Leader Award from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., State of Florida and the Bahamas; and was selected as Alumna of the Year by HBCU Digest for her work as the creator of the FAMU 10 for $10 Giving Challenge social media fundraising campaign. Cecka is married to Marvin E. Green, Jr. and the couple has three children.
